Outings & Field Trips
To ensure a safe and supportive environment for all young adults,
we kindly ask that everyone in our program be able to:
1. Independently Manage Personal Care –
individuals must be able to take care of their own toileting needs without assistance.
2. Follow Directions – For the safety and success of the group,
individuals should be able to listen to and follow basic instructions from staff and volunteers.

If additional support is needed in these areas, a direct support staff or family member may accompany the young adult during the program. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!

Meet Our Ambassador
Welcome to Empowered Abilities!
My name is Kendall Davis and I reside with parents Ken and Felicia Davis plus my dog Moose and they play a vital role in my life, you may end up meeting them one day!
In 2021, I started working along side Tiena during which she provided different techniques to enhance my skills and gain independence to reach my potential.
I utilize an assistive communication device to engage in conversations and some activities, along with an adaptive stroller to assist in long walks. Although I may need assistance with some tasks, I've learned that in life everything is trial & error but NEVER give up! I also learned that modification does not separate you from others but it allows you to learn, grow, and thrive within your own independence.
I look forward to meeting you and once again
Welcome to Empowered Abilities!

Background
Tiena Mann, owner and ambitious visionary behind Empowered Abilities, LLC established in 2023.
From a young age under her grandmother's wing, Tiena participated in outdoor events, was a former girl scout, contributed to fundraisers, attended church outreach programs (ie. volunteer companion at nursing homes along with holiday card making and singing, preparing and distributing meals for the unhoused).
In 2006, she began her career in the mental health field working with the IDD population ranging from residential homes (DSP to Manager), Day Program Facilitator, AFL provider and a RBT (Registered Behavior Technician). While doing so she obtained her Associates degree in Social Work and Bachelors of Science in Psychology.
The passion and purpose in establishing a program for individuals with higher needs drove her to bring into being, Empowered Abilities.
She embarked on this journey to create, assist, and support individuals and families with daily functional skills, self advocacy, and vocational engagement. Here individuals are open to be comfortable, safe, and develop the understanding of the unlimited abilities they possess as their peers.
Empowered Abilities is not only dedicated to the people we serve but also to her late Grandmother and Sister, both with ties in the IDD community.
